Rewinding My Peace

  Sometimes, we wish we could rewind the beautiful moments of our lives and relive them again. But there’s this one moment… I’ve never had to rewind it-because it keeps replaying in my heart on its own. 3 years ago, I joined a small office, quite ordinary from the outside. I worked there for just 7 months. But those 7 months... were some of the most peaceful days of my life. More than happiness, what I found there was peace-and that meant everything. Each day brought new faces, new stories, new souls. I would meet at least 50 customers a day, and through every conversation, life whispered little lessons to me. The Morning That Remembered Him

  It was a gentle, beautiful morning. A cool drizzle lingered in the air. Around nine, perhaps, I stood waiting at the bus stop, Time dripping slowly with the rain. From a distance he approached A seventy-year-old man, Half-soaked, In a faded red shirt and a simple lungi, Walking toward me through the mist. Suddenly he stopped beside me And reached out his hand. Thinking he asked for my umbrella, I offered it to him. He shook his head-no. Only then did I understand, He sought support To climb the steps beside me. At once I gave him my hand, Helping him rise. I do not know why, But that fleeting touch Awakened something deep within me A memory of someone dear to my soul. Thus, that morning began Wrapped in a quiet, tender warmth. Yet that sweetness melted my heart, Carrying me back To cherished moments of my childhood With the one I loved most. Bring me back

                I never felt that my home would give me a completely new feel. But it did. Yeah, I feel alone even when I stay in home. It gives a new experience for me. Yes, I have completed my graduation. I couldn't think that I'm not a student from now on. I couldn't think that I am not a hosteler from now on. I have seen a new world during those hostel days. I couldn't think that I would miss my friends and this place. No more days and time can give those days again, which I enjoyed with them. Now it's time to enter into my career. It's time to cross over everything. Only these words are consoling me to overcome this situation. But I feel little difficult to cross this.       We have mentors in college to guide us in academics and too in life.
